Nicole Kidman was taken to a hospital after the Jaguar she wasincrashed early Thursday during downtown shooting of thesciencefiction thriller The Invasion, police said.
Kidman, 39, was examined at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center andthenreleased a short time later. medics were called to examineKidmanfor injuries before she was taken to the hospital, policesaid.
Nicole Kidman was in the vehicle at the time of the accidentandwas taken to the hospital for evaluation. She was releasedshortlythereafter, Warner Bros. said in a statement.
No other actors were involved in the scene at the time oftheaccident, the studio said.
The Jaguar was being towed by a camera rig that skiddedwhiletaking a corner and caused Kidmans car to hit a pole on WestSixthStreet, police said. The actress was wearing a seat belt.
The stunt driver apparently went off course and hit a lightpostat about 1 a.m., police Officer Karen Smith said.
Eight people, including Kidman, stuntmen and cameramen, weretakento hospitals for examination and were released, Smith said.WarnerBros. said two crew mrs had minor injuries.
Warner Bros., a unit of Time Warner Inc., also saidproductioncontinued after the crash and Kidman was expected back onthe setThursday.
