South Korea and Japan ease off on troops to Iraq 韩国和日本停止向伊拉克派兵 　 Two of Washington's most important Asian allies are stepping away from sending soldiers to help rebuild Iraq. 1863 : Lincoln's Gettysburg Address 1863年：林肯葛底斯堡演说 　 President Abraham Lincoln delivers one of the most famous speeches in American history at the dedication of the military cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Using just 272 words, Lincoln brilliantly and movingly articulated the meaning of the conflict for a war-weary public.   亚伯拉罕﹒林肯总统在宾夕法尼亚州葛底斯堡国家公墓发表了美国历史上著名的演说。献词虽然只有272字，但是林肯为带有厌战情绪的国家阐释了战争信念，演说雄辩动人。 For some time, Lincoln had been planning to make a public statement on the significance of the war and the struggle against slavery. In early November, he received an invitation to speak at the dedication of part of the Gettysburg battlefield, which was being transformed into a cemetery for the soldiers who had died in battle there from July 1 to 3, 1863.
