“金镶玉”北京2008年奥运会奖牌发布

　　近日北京奥运会奖牌正式发布。奖牌采用独特的“金嵌玉”设计，在沿袭了传统奥林匹克神韵的同时，也体现出了中华文化的博大精深，金银铜三枚奖牌“艳惊全场”。Goldandjade - which signify honor and virtue in Chinese culture - havebeenunveiled as the two key elements in the 2008 BeijingOlympicmedals.

　　The winning design for the gold medal centers on threecomponentsin a center circle: the Beijing Olympic logo, the fiveOlympicrings and Beijing 2008. This inner circle is surrounded bya ringof jade with a gold-plated rim on the outside.

　　The gold, silver and bronze medals will carry the samedesign,with a finer white jade in the gold medal, a slightly darkershadein the silver medal, and a green jade in the bronze medal.

　　在近日揭晓的2008北京奥运会奖牌式样中，金与玉——这两个中国文化中荣誉与美德的象征成为了最主要的两大元素。

　　胜出的奖牌设计背面正中的金属图形上镌刻着北京奥运会会徽、奥运五环和“Beijing 2008”字样，外围一圈镶金边的玉璧。

　　金、银、铜牌式样相同，金牌搭配的是质地最好的白玉，银牌搭配的是青白玉，铜牌中间的玉石为青玉。
