Self-introduction

　　My name is Zhang Xiaotian. I come from Anhui Technical College of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Power. I’m currently a Junior Student. My major is Building Construction.

　　I’m a young man with a dream of being a famous architect, possessing the burning desire that could get me there. My father taught me the values of hard work, and how to set goals to achieve my dream. When I was young, my father reminded me every day that I could do anything I set my minds to, no matter how impossible it might seem or how strong the opposition is. It’s my sincere hope that all fathers around the world like my father, so that our children can know the wonder and power they have within themselves and will strive to access it. Generally speaking, I am a hard working student especially do the thing I am interested in. I will try my best to finish it no matter how difficult it is. Nothing is impossible to a willing heart. I feel strongly that I can make it.

　　Just like my father, I am open-minded ,quick in thought and very fond of language. Language is the dress of thought. A foreign language is a weapon in the struggle of life. English’s primary advantage is that of flexibility. On the one hand it has the largest vocabulary of all modern languages, allowing us , as its users , to say exactly what we want in exactly the words we choose to use. On the other, globalization has insured the introduction of a practical English, we’ve all come to know and love.

　　After graduation, I am to go abroad and further my study. English is just my open sesame to my dream of being an architect. Even though I face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have the dream. I can never stop working hard. Each day I feel I have to improve. Hard working, determination…I’ve got to keep pushing myself.

　　自我介绍

　　我、张啸天，是安徽水利水电职业技术学院建筑工程系一名学生，攻读建筑工程专业。在学校两年多的学习期间里，我勤奋学习、刻苦钻研，多次获得奖学金。学校成立了英语调频台、英语广播电台，由我担任台长。带领全台人员抓英语学习，前后和多所本科院校交流、联谊，使自己增长了知识，得到了锻炼。在2005年安徽省第二届英语口语大赛中荣获二等奖，全国英语大赛中获优胜奖；2006年安徽省第三届英语口语大赛中荣获一等奖。

　　今年10月，我怀抱着达到目标的炽热和渴望考上了俄罗斯国立大学，攻读建筑学专业。英语就是我在海外追逐建筑师梦想的必备条件，尽管当前和将来还会有许多困难挫折，每天我都感到自己必须努力拼搏、奋进，实现我的梦想。
