　　Energy shortage is a very serious problem in the world.Manypeople worry that energy resources on the earth will beexhaustedif we use them in an unchecked way. This, most peopleagree, willcause serious problems and even crisis and jeopardizethe survivalof mankind .

　　On the one hand, most people agree that the problem can besolvedin one way or another. One is to conserve and save ourenergy. Forexample, some countries have a daylight saving system touse lesselectricity for lighting. Some have enforced seriouspenalties onoveruse of electricity, water, and farming land. Bythese means,people hope the drain on energy resources could beslowed down.

　　However, conservation alone cannot solve the problem. Anotherway,is to develop new energy resources. There are many otherenergyresources that we can develop such as nuclear power,waterpower andsolar power.

　　If the above two guidelines are strictly followed, I believe,wecan solve the problem of energy shortage in the end.
