　　People have been living on the Earth for thousands of years.Humanactivity influences the Earth. Some people believe that theEarth isbeing harmed by human activity. Others feel that humanactivitymakes the Earth a better place to live. In my opinion, theearth isbeing damaged by human activity. There are manystatementssupporting my opinion.

　　Human activity has damaged natural environment and almostexaustednatural resources. Modern industry needs more and moreresources,including minerals, fuels and water. So we confront ofthe seriousproblems such as the lack of fuels and water.Ecological balance isdamaged because factories occupy many placeswhere animals andplants live. More and more buildings areconstructed and forestsbecome less and less. If we cannotrecognize these problems andsolve them soon, we would finally losethe environment suitable forour living.

　　An other serious problem is the green-house effect.Humanactivity decreases forests and increases the usage of fuels sothatthe gas of carbon dioxide is output more and more and there arenotenough plants to absorb it. The green-house effect is moreobviousand more sensible these years. Due to the effect, icebergsin thesouth polar and north polar melt and the sea level becomeshigherthan before. I am worried about the cities nearby the sea andhopescientists find an effective method to eliminate thegreen-houseeffect.

　　Although we have advanced machines and our life seemsmorecomfortable than before, we have less chances to approachnaturesand less spaces to act. The cities become bigger and if wewant tohave a picnic with our friends, we have to drive a longdistance tofind a natural place. In fact, the spaces of humanactivity arebeing damaged by the skyscrapers and factories.

　　From the above statements, we can conclude that humanactivitybrings the Earth many damages. Fortunately people haverecognizedthe point and I believe that the Earth will become abetter placeto live with our ceaseless efforts.［托福参看范文之二］

　　Nowadays our Earth faces a number of serious problems, such astheenvironment pollution, the increasing population, the fataleffectsof nuclear weapons, and so on. So some people believe thatthe Earthis being harmed by human activity. But as far as I amconcerned thathuman activity makes the Earth a better place tolive and also makessome negative effects in this process. Myarguments for this pointare listed as follows.

　　Even though we face so many crisis, no one can deny that Eartharemore suitable for human habitation. That is the result oftheefforts of generations of people. If without that, we mightalsolive in caves and eat the crude food just like wild animals.Ifthat is true, we must haven’t time and energy to think overtheproblems of the Earth because we have to look for food andavoidbecoming the food of other animals. At that state, whethertheEarth were harmed is not important for human because somecertaincrisises can annihilate the total population, such assomeinfectious disease or the a change of climates.

　　It is inevitable to produce some positive aspect ns when humanarestruggle to improve the survive abilities and from theexperiencesof history we also have make great effort to resolvethis kinds ofproblems. For example, most of people hope to limitthe scope ofnuclear weapons and the protection of environment isaccept byalmost every one. Most of problems are controlled byourselves andsome of them have the hope to be resolved in years.We are findingthe balance between the development and theprotection of our Earth.So it is unnecessary to deny theadvancement of human.

　　For the reasons presented above, we admit that there aresomeproblems in the process of the human development, butthoseproblems are resolving and as a whole we make the Earth abetterplace to live. 　　The quality of human life has improved greatly over the pastfewcenturies, but Earth is being harmed more and more byhumanactivity. As we develop our technology, we demand more fromourplanet. Eventually, this will harm people as well.

　　Our planet gives us everything we need, but natural resourcesarenot endless. Strip mining devastates whole regions, leavingbareand useless ground. Deforestation removes old growth treesthatcant be replaced. Too much fishing may harm fish populationstothe point where they cant recover. We are too careless intakingwhat we want without giving anything back.

　　There are more people than ever, living longer than ever. So isitany surprise that many areas suffer from too muchdevelopment?Anyone living in or near a city has experienced urbansprawl.There is a new shopping area on every corner and newhouses,townhouses and apartments everywhere. Traffic gets worse andworsebecause planners cant keep up with growth. Keeping up withhumandemand is hard enough. Environmental concerns come inlast.

　　With growth comes pollution. Companies and communities dumpwasteinto water. Landfills are full of trash. Emissions fromfactoriespollute the air. Barrels of industrial waste and worse,radioactivewaste, have no safe place to go. If were not careful,we can harmour planet beyond repair. People need to respect theEarth and tryto preserve it. If we dont, what kind of future willwe have?需！
