上期内容提要：等待了六年的小熏终于决定在世纪末的时候离开小伍的记忆，开始新的起点。阿森感到无比高兴。可是，毕竟是10年的感情，这份久久的期待，这份相思能轻易地被抛却吗？

　　本期内容简介：小熏想忘记过去。她该怎么做呢？思前想后，她决定从起点开始回忆，然后再彻底忘记，于是，她回到了那座大桥，去找寻小伍离去的那天。

　　chapter 5 浮木

　　chapter 5 Lifeline

　　不知道谁说的，想要忘记，就要逼近回忆。于是小熏决定顺着回忆向她招手的方向，来到关渡大桥。回到1991年，和小伍在一起的那个夏天。她想痛到麻木的时候会不会就此忘记所有的不愉快了呢？

　　Xun once heard someone say “if you want to forget something, you first must recall the memory, even the most painful parts”. Her memory takes her to Guan Du Bridge, where she had been with Wu in the summer of 1991. Xun decides to confront her memories and ①deal with the pain, hoping that this will take away her sorrows.

　　在夜幕中，迎面开来一辆摩托，恍惚的灯光中，小熏仿佛看见了那个夏天小伍微笑的样子。分别那天的回忆就好像昨天才发生的故事在小熏的眼前浮现……

　　In the growing darkness Xun walks towards the bridge and her old memories. In the blinding light of an oncoming motorcycle, Xun thinks she sees the smiling face of Wu as he looked that night. The memory of that day comes flooding back to Xun, as though it had just been yesterday.

　　小伍：你知道我为什么喜欢桥，因为它把两个不属于的边界，连结在一起。

　　Wu: Do you know why I like bridges? Because they form the link between two different worlds.

　　小伍仰望着那座桥，用一种崇拜的眼光。

　　Wu looks at the bridge admiringly.

　　小伍：我的理想一种执着的坚持。有一天我一定要走遍世界各地，走过每一座桥，走过每一种心和心的跨越。我要走遍世界的桥，熏，你呢？

　　Wu: My dream is a persistent one. I must see the bridges of the world and cross those bridges, and maybe then I‘ll understand the links between different worlds. I want to go all over the world and visit every bridge. Xun, what about you?

　　小熏：我？我等你。

　　Xun: Me? I will wait for you.

　　小熏的声音里有一丝苦涩，她意识到了别离，也知道自己不可能追随小伍，却仍然如此回答。

　　There is pain in Xun’s voice, as she realizes she and Wu will be apart for a long time. She knows that she cannot follow Wu around the world on his travels, but she’s not willing to ②give him up either.

　　但那时的她怎么懂得长久的等待是如此痛苦？小伍幸福地笑了，紧紧地拥住小熏，夕阳中的背影让人心碎。

　　How was Xun to know that waiting for so long was going to be so painful? Wu smiles happily and hugs her. The romantic vision of their embrace in silhouette against the sun is heartbreaking.

　　小熏不舍地看着小伍消失在眼前。小熏不禁有些迷惘，心痛的感觉涌上眼睛，酸酸的，却化不成泪滴，眼睁睁地目送着缩成一点的小伍终于不见。他去追求他的梦。我爱他，这就够了。

　　Xun doesn’t want to watch Wu leaving her, but it’s hard not to watch him slowly disappearing. A deep sense of sadness and pain comes over her, she is lost. She feels the tears welling up in her eyes but nothing comes, she is unable cry. She stands there watching as Wu walks away, becoming smaller and smaller, till he is nothing more than a dot on the horizon. He is chasing his dream. She loves him and will wait for him.

　　想起以前的种种，想起愈来愈遥远的小伍，小熏忍不住流着泪大声呼喊：再见，1991年的夏天。再见，昨天的小熏。再见……明天以后的伍。

　　Remembering the past and Wu, who’s so far away, Xun begins to cry and says to herself “Goodbye summer of 1991. Goodbye, Xun of yesterday. Goodbye…Wu of tomorrow.”

　　这时，阿森走来，原来他怕小熏出事，一直悄悄跟着她。

　　Asang has been following Xun, to look after her, in case something goes wrong.

　　阿森：小熏。

　　Asang: Xun.

　　小熏低声：森，你看，我做到了。

　　Xun: Asang, look, I’ve done it.

　　阿森：答应我，让我照顾你。让我爱你，好不好？

　　Asang: Promise me, let me ③take care of you. Let me love you, please?

　　小熏：我不想把你当成浮木，这样对你，不公平。

　　Xun: I don’t want to use you as my lifeline when I’m drowning. That’s not fair on you.

　　小熏黯然地想着，虽然只是一步的距离，却似乎隔得很远，跨不过去。爱是给予，所以不会失去，但……我却失去了，给你爱我的机会。

　　Xun thinks in silence, although there is only one step between them, it seems so far, unable to be crossed. Love is about giving and sacrificing, so you’ll never lose it. But…I’ve lost the chance to give my love to you.
