On the eve of the first World Day for Intellectual Property Rights, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) awarded more than 300 representatives for their outstanding results in a national knowledge of intellectual property rights competition.

Nearly 1 million people from 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions took part in the competition which was organized by the SIPO and its subsidiary, the China Intellectual Property News.

The competition, which lasted from January to March, was designed to further enhance public's awareness of the protection of intellectual property rights.
