More than 61 million stock trading accounts were opened in China
as of March 20, according to officials with the Shanghai Stock Exchange
and Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
About 29.7 million accounts, including 339,000 B-share accounts,
were registered in Shenzhen, while 31.3 million, including 560,000
B share accounts, opened in Shanghai.
The number increased by 11 million, or 22 per cent, in the past
nine months.
